Description
(Pensham Series). A upright, semi-evergreen perennial. Produces mid-green, narrow leaves, stout stems and bell shaped flowers. Each white trumpet-shaped flower flares out at the base, where it’s lobed edges are coloured a vibrant lipstick pink. This creates a distinctive, two-tone effect. Flowering period July – October. Height 70cm. Spread 50cm. Plant can be grown in full sun to partial shade in a exposed or sheltered location. Plant in well-drained soil, soil can be chalk, loam and sandy. Tolerant of full pH range. Hardiness H4 (-10 to -15c). Bred by Edwards Wilson of Pershire Plant Raisers in the village of Pensham. All Pensham Penstemon’s have been bred to withstand lower temperatures and inclement weather, making it perfect for UK summers.
All our plants are grown in pots to reduce the risk of pest and disease. At certain times of the year our perennials are potted up into larger containers as and when the plants need. This means that plant can have a root system that is between 0.5L and 1.4L during this period.
